What we typically build.

McDonald and Sons takes every project from site prep to final finish in-house. The bulk of our work is new spec home construction; we also build outbuildings and selectively take on full restorations when the right opportunity comes up.

New-Home Spec Construction

Primary focus. Affordable, well-built single-family homes for the Marion-area resale market—efficient floor plans, durable materials, and finishes selected to hit a price point without giving up quality.

Garages & Outbuildings

Detached garages, pole barns, and workshops built to the same standard as our homes. Useful additions that drive lot value and broaden buyer appeal.

Whole-House Renovation

Down-to-the-studs restoration of older Marion-area homes where the bones are sound and the location justifies the work. Limited to a small number of projects per year.

Self-Performed Trades

Framing, sheathing, drywall, finish carpentry, and trim done by our own crew. We coordinate licensed subs for mechanicals (plumbing, HVAC, electrical) so accountability stays in one place.
